This Privacy Policy explains how Mock Loc (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) handles information when you use the Mock Loc Android application and this website.

1. Summary

Mock Loc is a developer and QA tool for simulating GPS locations on Android devices. We design the product to work without a backend account system. We do not sell personal data.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Mock Loc, the following may apply:

On-device data. Routes, waypoints, and settings you create are stored locally on your device (for example via Android DataStore). This data does not leave your device through Mock Loc unless you export or share it yourself.
Location permission. The app may request location permission to center the map on your real position. Mock Loc uses this for map UX; simulated locations are generated by you for testing.
Website. This static website does not use a database or user accounts. Your hosting provider or CDN may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of delivering the site.
Google Play. If you install from Google Play, Google may collect analytics and crash data under Google’s policies. We may receive aggregated or anonymized reports from Google Play Console.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not operate a Mock Loc cloud database for your routes. Third parties such as Google (Play Store / OS services) and your web host may process technical data as independent controllers under their own policies.

5. Data retention

Local app data remains on your device until you clear app storage, uninstall the app, or delete saved items in-app. Website server logs, if any, are retained according to the host’s default policies.

6. Children’s privacy

Mock Loc is intended for developers and testers. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction).

8. International use

If you access the website from outside the country where our host or team operates, your information may be processed in other regions as needed to deliver the site.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app or site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
